Mercedes-Benz has revealed the UK pricing and specification for the new GLB, with prices starting from £34,200 on the road for the GLB 200 Sport. The new GLB range features a choice of four model lines and three efficient engines.
The GLB 200 is powered by a 163hp, four-cylinder petrol engine that achieves 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds with a top speed of 129mph. A 7G-DCT gearbox comes as standard.
The GLB 200 d, which is available in either front or all-wheel drive, features a 2 litre, four-cylinder diesel engine, capable of generating 150hp and travelling from 0-62mph in 9 seconds with a top speed of 127mph. The GLB 200 d and 220 d both come with an 8G-DCT transmission.
The range-topping GLB 220 d 4MATIC is powered by a 190hp, four-cylinder diesel engine which can achieve 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 135mph.
The entry-level Sport models come with a range of extras as standard, including 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a seven-inch multimedia system and more. Standard safety and assistance equipment includes Active Brake Assist, Active bonnet, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Attention Assist, Speed Limit Assist, and Keyless-Go locking and unlocking.
The range-topping GLB AMG Line Premium Plus includes Multibeam LED headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, a panoramic sunroof; Driving Assistance pack; and Traffic Sign Assist.
The GLB is available with seven seats as standard across the range, with the exception of the GLB 220 d 4MATIC AMG Line Premium which can be specified with five seats.
The Mercedes-Benz GLB is on sale now – with first deliveries expected in December.
